Here is another interview in a Maritime TV video series featuring Clay Maitland, Managing Partner, International Registries, Inc., and Chairman of the Merchant Marine Policy Coalition (MMPC), entitled ‘Mondays with Maitland’. The program series addresses issues of the day throughout the international maritime industry. In this 32nd interview in the series, Clay responds to the Transportation Security Administration’s recent inadvertent omission of the U.S. Merchant Marine Academy midshipmen from a special program that granted TSA PRE boarding to all Service Academy students (currently being rectified with the Academy now) and how this oversight is indicative of the need to generate public and federal awareness of the vital importance of the Merchant Marine and the maritime industry as a whole to our nation
