Maritime Administrator Paul ‘Chip” Jaenichen in Paducah, Ky., alongside the AEP River Operations towboat, the M/V Donna Rushing, after riding (and navigating) the vessel along the Ohio River in Paducah, Ky. Jaenichen highlighted AEP’s “Go Green” initiative and the many new environmentally-friendly features aboard the M/V Donna Rushing, one of the greenest vessels in America. He emphasized the importance of the marine highways concept and how waterborne transportation is the most environmentally-friendly, the most efficient and the safest way to move cargo to support the American economy.
