Maritime TV, along with Maritime Institute of Technology and Graduate Studies (MITAGS) announced a joint effort to create a Maritime Operations Cybersecurity Training Curriculum. Initially, eight free 20-minute “Cyber-Skilled Mariner” Internet TV Programs will be featured on Maritime TV starting in October, 2018, targeted to students at the U.S. Merchant Marine Academy, U.S. Coast Guard Academy, State Maritime Academies, Maritime Union Schools and professionals in the maritime industry. Maritime TV is producing this series with cybersecurity expert Dan Turissini, KP ’81.
MITAGS will work with Maritime TV to use the series content to create a 5-day, fee-based course to be taught at MITAGS during the week of December 10, 2018 (that Maritime TV may webcast live.)
In this video, Mr. Turissini and Maritime TV’s Dave Gardy discuss the “Cyber-Skilled Mariner” Program Series and MITAGS Course.
