| Welcome to the 80th Annual General Meeting (AGM) of the Council of American Master Mariners and our Professional Development Conference (PDC). This year, our focus is, 'Who Is Really in Command of the Ship." Please consult this program for information concerning all social events and meetings. Thank you Captain Manny Aschmeyer and Captain Zeluff for putting together this year's events. Their onsite assistance has enabled us to put together an excellent program.
On Thursday night, we will enjoy a Dinner Cruise of San Diego Harbor. Spouses and guests can take advantage of outings as noted on the Events Section of the program - Two different tours of San Diego with lunch. Additionally, there are many local attractions in the area for guests to explore on their own.
All members will need to maintain a steady course to enable us to complete the AGM agenda. Positions, Sidelights, Website, Membership, next two AGM locations and Committee appointments all need to be addressed. The Closing Dinner will conclude the Conference. Dinner will be followed by the presentation of the Lalonde Award and the Keynote Speech, given by the U.S. Maritime Administrator, Rear Admiral Mark Buzby.
Again, welcome to San Diego and enjoy your stay.
