In this 137th edition in the series, Clay discusses the Chinese shipbuilding industry and how the improving standard of living there will lead to shipyard labor demanding better salary and working conditions with the increased prominence of labor unions. This will increase the costs of shipbuilding in China, reducing the surplus of tonnage that has caused the recession hampering the maritime industry since 2008.
