In this 124th edition in the series, Clay addresses the recent federal government shutdown, whether it will happen again, and its impact on the U.S. Maritime Industry. He also salutes Transportation Secretary Elaine Chao and Maritime Administrator Buz Buzby for finding the legal authority to keep the U.S. Merchant Marine Academy at Kings Point open during the shutdown, when it’s been closed in prior government shutdowns. This interview was recorded just after the January shutdown ended.
