Clay Warns Washington About China’s Sea Power Expansion Worldwide

In this 88th edition in the series, Clay addresses how China is taking a page out of the Alfred Thayer Mahan book on Sea Power and expanding its commercial presence in ports worldwide, laying the groundwork for strategic and military influence in the process and Washington needs to take notice. This interview with Clay was conducted just prior to last week’s Chinese media report that the People's Liberation Army Navy (PLAN) may base its first aircraft carrier near the South China Sea, for a quick response to "complicated situations."
