Captain Phillips Movie Premiere Screening
October 2, 2013 The Newseum, Washington, D.C.

Actor Tom Hanks, Captain Richard Phillips and Director Paul Greengrass were featured at the screening of 'Captain Phillips' at The Newseum on October 2, 2013 in Washington, DC.

Maritime TV’s Sarah Selz was on hand to get interviews with all three. The movie, with a release date of October 11, 2013 depicts the true story of Captain Richard Phillips and the 2009 hijacking by Somali pirates of the US-flagged MV Maersk Alabama, the first American cargo ship to be hijacked in two-hundred years.
